Dr. Langdon of Guilford, CT, Announces Natural Breast Augmentation as Alternative to Silicone & Saline Implants

Dr. Langdon of Guilford, CT, Announces Natural Breast Augmentation as Alternative to Silicone & Saline Implants

Guilford, CT (PRWEB) October 25, 2011

Dr. Robert Langdon, Medical Director at The Langdon Center, announces that natural breast augmentation is a smart alternative to the silicone and saline implants used to create volume in traditional breast augmentations. This innovative technique uses the patient’s own fat that is extracted during a liposuction procedure and is then transferred to the breasts where it can typically increase breast volume by one cup size.

“This procedure is a safe and effective way to enhance the size of the breasts, while simultaneously removing fat where it’s not wanted, without invasive surgery or the added risk of saline or silicone implants,” states Dr. Langdon. “My patients tell me that they enjoy the natural looking results, as well.” Dr. Langdon continues, “The best candidate for Natural Breast Augmentation is a woman who has lost fullness in her breasts due to age, weight fluctuations or breast feeding, and desires a moderate increase of up to once cup size.”

Dr. Langdon’s announcement is especially relevant during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Natural breast augmentations carry no risk of complications from foreign materials and are less likely to interfere with breast cancer screening. Many women prefer the natural approach over traditional breast implants made of silicone or saline.

The Natural Breast Augmentation procedure is performed using the Body-Jet® Water-Assisted Liposuction device, which utilizes pulses of water to gently harvest fat from the donor areas. The fat is collected, purified and transferred to syringes, and then carefully placed into the breast using a specialized injection cannula. Unlike laser lipolysis, the Body-Jet® keeps the fat cells healthy so that they can take their new place within the breast tissue. Visit http://www.langdoncenter.com/bodyjet.htm to learn more about the benefits of the Body-Jet. The standard breast augmentation procedure usually takes about 4 to 5 hours, which includes the fat harvesting portion of the procedure, and is performed under local anesthesia. Downtime is minimal and requires only a few days away from work or strenuous activity. For your Natural Breast Augmentation consultation at The Langdon Center, call The Langdon Center at 203-453-8625.

Atlantic Horizon Introduces GrayBan Shampoo Natural Gray Hair Remover

Atlantic Horizon Introduces GrayBan Shampoo Natural Gray Hair Remover

GranBan Shampoo from Verseo

Cold Springs, NY (PRWEB) September 09, 2011

Atlantic Horizon, distributor of the popular gray hair remover GrayBan announced today the launch of GrayBan Shampoo. The new shampoo cleanses and conditions and works to restore a melanin-like protein back into the hair follicles to gradually restore original hair color.

GrayBan Spray has an already dedicated fan-based who have long been asking for a shampoo to be used along side the spray. Two years of research and development went into finding the right GrayBan formulation to allow for the proper levels of cleansing and conditioning without altering the effects of the hair-color restoration process.

“After receiving countless requests for a shampoo version of GrayBan, we looked at the best way to offer the ease of a shampoo product with the effectiveness of the spray. Though both products will remove gray hair when used individually, the maximum benefit is reached combining the two,” states Atlantic Horizon CEO, Robert Ferreira. “GrayBan Spray was just recently reformulated to start working in as little as three days, now with GrayBan Shampoo you can cleanse, condition, and receive a concentrated level of hair-color restoration that you just didn’t have before.”

Aging causes the loss of melanin, the protein responsible for providing color to skin and hair. GrayBan Shampoo is not a dye. Instead it works to restore a melanin-like protein back into hair cells to restore the hair’s natural hair color. Because GrayBan restores original hair color gradually, the appeal of this product to so many is that hair never appears harshly dyed or unnatural.

“We expect to fulfill a void in natural hair-color restoration market that has long been missing. With an increasing aging population, the economy and environmental factors, demand for reducing and removing gray hair has increased tremendously. Coloring or dying hair via salon or traditional methods is not on pace with demand, costs, and request for ease of use. GrayBan Shampoo is poised to meet the demands of an affordable, natural, and easy to use solution. We’re very proud of this new product,” claims Mr. Ferreira.

Review All Natural Hair Removal Cream

Hair removal describes any method of removing hair, especially from the human body. It has been practiced for centuries in almost all human cultures.

Creams

Removal creams, also known as depilatories, are products which chemically dissolve hair, allowing it to be easily scraped or brushed off the skin. Removal through the use of these creams is usually effective for approximately two to five days.

Laser Treatment

Laser is a relatively new procedural advance for removing unwanted hair from the body. It is a harmless procedure with little to no side effects. Laser hair removal, laser facial removal and pubic hair removal are the most sought after treatments in today’s society. It is an innovative resolution to looking and feeling confident about your body

Waxing (Wax on, wax off)

Waxing is a form of removal very similar to sugaring. Waxing can be carried out either on your own at home or by a qualified cosmetologist or esthetician. It is a fast and inexpensive method but, it can be messy and can result in ingrown hairs and irritation.

Shaving (Old School)

Shaving… Shaving is the simplest and least invasive form of hair removal. So, obviously many individuals choose to shave their unwanted hair on a daily basis. Shaving involves using a sharp metal blade to remove hair by cutting it off at the skin’s surface. It is a fast, inexpensive, and safe way to remove body hair at home.

]]>

Electrolysis (Zap!)

Electrolysis is a form of permanent hair removal that uses electricity. It is a very slow method that may also be prolonged by having to do repeat insertions into the hair follicle. Electrolysis is the only method proven to completely stop hair growth.

There are several advantages and disadvantages to many of these methods. One should seek the advice of a doctor-supervised facility when choosing these hair removal methods. Do your research, pick up a cream, and then look at these other options.

Now Pay Close Attention –

Shaving daily can irritate your beautiful skin as well as cause unnecessary marks, lines and aging you don’t need to worry about. But now there are two reasons you don’t have to suffer through daily shaving and skin irritation:

[Reason #1] no!no! Hair’s patented technology slows down long-term hair regrowth.

[Reason #2] no!no! Hair is less than the cost of 3 waxes and can be used on your face, legs, bikini line, and anywhere else.

Natural Hair Removal Treatments – The Basics

Hair removal products are available in abundance in the market. But how do you know which of these products are safe for your skin? With the products containing chemicals many that use such products do tend to complain of some skin redness and skin irritation. Hence, the need for natural hair removing products has surfaced and many are cashing in on this by letting out products that are termed to be made from natural substances. But no one can be absolutely sure that the products that they are using are free of chemicals and that is why home made natural hair removing products are getting popular.

Waxing is one of the easiest and most convenient ways to remove unwanted hair. Yes, waxing can be painful but the results are good and after waxing the hair taken much longer to grow back. Instead of picking up hair removing wax from the market you can always make your own wax at come from natural substances found in your home. To make homemade wax take two cups of sugar, one fourth cup of water and one fourth cup of lemon juice. Heat this mixture over a low flame and stir regularly until you get a thick brown liquid which is your wax. Once the wax has cooled down to a temperature that you are comfortable with you can apply in onto your skin and place a clean cloth or waxing strip over it. Once it has cooled down completely pull the cloth or strip in the opposite direction of hair growth so that the hair is pulled from its roots. Make sure that you apply ice and astringent to the waxed area to tighten the pores.

One of the oldest methods of hair removal used is sugaring. Sugaring is back in fashion again after a few decades as the newer cosmetic products were preferred over sugaring earlier. The popularity of sugaring has now increased tremendously. It can be done at home by taking one cup of sugar and mixing it with the juice of half a lemon, molasses, corn starch and a bowl of honey. You start off by mixing lemon, honey, sugar and molasses in a bowl and keeping the mixture in a microwave for about 2 to 4 minutes or till you get a smooth consistency. You can also heat up the mixture over a low flame. Now apply corn starch over the area you need to wax and then apply the mixture over it. Corn starch will help in smooth removal of hair. Place a cloth or waxing strips over the area and pull it out once it has cooled down.

Other natural hair removing techniques are tweezing and threading. Tweezing is usually used to remove facial hair. Tweezing is a slow process as each hair has to be pulled out using tweezers. The pain involved in the process is also much greater. Tweezing is most commonly used to shape eyebrows that are bushy and if repeated over longer periods of time can lead to permanent hair removal. Threading is a common hair removal method that can be used on any part of the body. The usual parts of the body where threading is used are upper lips, chin and eyebrows. But even other parts of the body where there is a patch of hair, threading is useful. Threading requires a lot of attention and detail and is great for people with sensitive skin. Pumice stones can also be used for removing hair from the body except facial hair.

Reduce Unwanted Facial Hair with Natural Facial Hair Removal Strategies

It is possible to reduce unwanted facial hair with the help of herbs, supplements and dietary changes. Excessive hair growth, hirsutism, in women is often a result of higher androgen levels in the blood stream. Reducing insulin production and testosterone levels gets to the heart of the matter for many women, while laser hair removal and electrolysis simply manage the symptoms.

Drink 2 Cups of Spearmint Tea. Studies have been done that suggest that 2 cups of spearmint tea a day can decrease androgen levels in the blood stream, thus reducing hair growth. After five days of treatment, the women in the study experienced a significant reduction in hair growth on their faces. To continue the effects, women must continue to drink the tea, however.

Nix Yeast. Some women have noticed a correlation between yeast intake and rate of hair growth. To test if yeast could be contributing to unwanted hair growth, remove yeast from your diet for about a week to see if there are any positive results. This includes all breads with yeast, and packaged foods that contain yeast or yeast extract. If results are positive, you might consider taking yeast foods out of your diet permanently.

Healthy Diet. If you don’t think you are what you eat, think again. Strive to eat foods in their natural forms (whole foods) over packaged foods that contain a lot of added ingredients. Some believe that eating large amounts of processed carbohydrates stimulates an increase in insulin and that leads to excess hair growth.

Exercise. Regular exercise has so many benefits, including but not limited to managing hormone levels in the body. Exercise is a way to rid your body of toxins and it helps keep all of your organs healthy, including your brain!

Vitamins & Minerals. Those who supplement with magnesium, zinc, copper, chromium, vitamin E, and vitamin B6 might find that it helps slow or reduce hair growth. Make multivitamins a part of your daily health routine. Zinc and Vitamin B6 can help reduce the hormone prolactin, a hormone that helps testosterone to get taken up by tissues.

I have thick facial hair, I’ve tried everything, and there is no such thing as PERMANENT, as long as you’re healthy, hair will not stop but continue to grow.

Unless you have the same genes as some people: my sister shaved her eyebrows and they never grow back, everyday she uses eyebrow pencils. Mom’s underarm never grow back, and so are her legs. Both of them have cancer, but mom wasn’t diagnosed until close to her 90’s. Sister had double mastectomy by age 35. So that’s probably a reason why certain parts of her body’s hair never grow back.

Waxing, or cream also keep coming back, so no matter what you do! It just means you’re healthy!
Laser is pretty spendy, $ 200- $ 400 a session, up to 6 session to get rid of 70% of hair then there’s the touch-up about $ 150+ each session . . . . and if you’re not careful where you get them done, you could end up getting burned. Glamour magazine ex-editor ended up scarred for life. For this very reason, you want to skip the discount places and get treated by a trained technician at an established medical facility. These places do NOT offer discounts.
